A refrigerant is an essential working fluid in a vapor-compression refrigeration cycle. Hydrofluorocarbons are currently used as refrigerants in refrigeration
air-conditioning
and heat pump systems and are potent greenhouse gases. Thus
replacement refrigerants with high thermal performances and low environmental impacts must be identified. This paper presents a comprehensive review of the refrigerants in different vapor-compression cycle applications covering the temperature range from ?100 to 200 °C.
