Given the high-energy consumption of a display cabinet and the serious decrease of refrigeration capacity in cases of high ambient temperature
a refrigeration display cabinet with microchannel condenser was developed. The performance of the developed display cabinet was tested and compared with the one with traditional wire-tube condenser. It shows that display cabinet with microchannel condenser solves the problems resulting from the poor refrigeration effect of display cabinets under high-temperature conditions and the shutdown of the compressor because of the high heat transfer coefficient as the condenser. Furthermore
it significantly reduces the energy consumption of display cabinet. At ambient temperatures of 16 ℃
