To study the effects of the nanoparticles on thermodynamic parameter of cryoprotectant solutions
the specific heat of the glycerol solutions (50% v/v) with/without nanoparticiles (HA) was measured by using DSC. The results show that specific heat of the glycerol solutions has decreased slightly
when the mass fraction of nanoparticles is 0.1%. While specific heat of the glycerol solutions has decreased obviously
when the mass fraction of nanoparticles is 0.5%. Because the specific heat is inverse to the thermal diffusivity
the less the specific heat is
the farther the cooling rate is. This paper provides a theoretical explanation about it.
