数据中心冷却系统的综合COP评价

摘要:
数据中心冷却系统的耗电量约占数据中心总能耗的40%,建立数据中心冷却系统效率的评价体系对节能工作十分重要。本文提出了一种用于评价数据中心冷却系统综合COP的评价指标COPdc,基于冷却系统运行数据的仿真结果,验证了数据中心冷却系统综合COPdc的评价效果,并与PUE指标进行了对比分析。结果表明:在不同负载和温度条件下COPdc的数值变化范围(4.51~5.44)比PUE大(1.19~1.23),能更明确展现数据中心冷却系统的耗电量变化,更适合作为衡量冷却系统能量使用效率的指标。本文提出的数据中心冷却系统综合COP评价方法可以量化的体现数据中心冷却系统的能效高低,相比PUE指标更具有针对性。

Abstract:
The power consumption of a data center cooling system accounts for approximately 40% of the total energy consumption of the data center, so establishing an evaluation strategy to evaluate the efficiency of the data center cooling system is very important for energy conservation. This paper presents an comprehensive COP evaluation strategy with the index COPdc for evaluating data center cooling systems. Based on the simulation results of the cooling system operation, the energy efficiency of the data center cooling system is evaluated using the COPdc evaluation strategy. The characteristics of the comprehensive COP strategy are discussed by comparing them with the PUE. The results show that under a variety of load and temperature conditions, the variation range of COPdc (4.51~5.44) is larger than that of PUE (1.19~1.21), which suggests that COPdc can more prominently show the change in power consumption of the data center cooling system. The comprehensive COP evaluation strategy of the data center cooling system proposed in this paper can quantify the energy efficiency of the data center cooling system and evaluate the energy efficiency more specifically compared with PUE.
