Article Processing Charge 

To ensure the high-quality publication and sustainable development of the journal, and maintain the fairness and standardization of academic publishing, these Measures are formulated. The Measures detail the core principles, specific standards and implementation procedures for article processing charge（APC）.

1. Charging Principle

1） Principle of Fair Cost Sharing: Article processing charge are used to support the journal's publishing costs such as editorial processing, peer review, platform maintenance, and online dissemination, adhering to the fair principle of "who publishes, who shares".

2）Principle of Incentivizing Academic Contributions: To encourage experts and scholars in the field to continuously provide high-quality manuscripts, special fee reduction and exemption policies are set up for editorial board members, young editorial board members and high-yield authors in return for their contributions to the academic development of the discipline.

3）Principle of Preferential Treatment for Invited Manuscripts: To enhance the journal's academic influence and cutting-edge reporting capabilities, preferential policies of fee reduction and exemption plus manuscript remuneration are implemented for high-quality manuscripts specially invited by the editorial department as a token of respect and gratitude.

2. Charging and Payment Standards

1）Charging Standard

Journal of Refrigeration charges article processing fees for papers that have passed the review and been accepted for publication. The fee is calculated at 400 RMB per page, based on the number of pages of the latest Word document submitted by the author. The total fee generally does not exceed 10,000 RMB.

Important Reminder: To accurately estimate the page count, authors must submit manuscripts in strict accordance with the Journal of Refrigeration Manuscript Format Requirements. Otherwise, the final page count may differ from the initial draft, affecting the fee calculation.

2）Payment Standard

Journal of Refrigeration pays manuscript remuneration for papers that have passed the review and been accepted for publication, serving as a one-time payment for the article's copyright. The remuneration amount is 20% of the APC.

3）APC Reduction and Exemption Standards

• Multiple Acceptance Preference: Within the current year, for authors with multiple papers accepted (only the first author is counted), a 50% APC reduction is offered starting from the second accepted paper, and no manuscript remuneration will be paid.

• Editorial Board Member Preference: Within the current year, one paper (main text generally not exceeding 12 pages) submitted and accepted by editorial board members or young editorial board members as the first author or corresponding author can enjoy full exemption from APC (the preference requires an application submitted by the editorial board member himself/herself), and no manuscript remuneration will be paid. Starting from the second paper, the "Multiple Acceptance Preference" policy shall apply.

• Invited Manuscripts: Specially invited manuscripts (excluding conference-recommended papers) can enjoy full exemption from APC and receive manuscript remuneration in accordance with relevant regulations.

3. Payment Methods

1）Method 1: Payment within the System

Log in to the Journal of Refrigeration Submission System (www.zhilengxuebao.com), make the payment via WeChat, and indicate "WeChat Payment + Article Number" in the payment remarks.

2）Method 2: Bank Remittance

When remitting, please indicate the article number or the corresponding author's name in the transfer remarks. After the transfer, please log in to the submission system in a timely manner to submit the transfer voucher.

4. Invoice Issuance

The journal will issue an electronic ordinary invoice within 10 working days and send it to the author's email. Authors can also log in to the journal's submission system (www.zhilengxuebao.com) to download it by themselves. If "Invoice Issuance Failed, Login Call Required" is displayed after payment via the system, no operation is required from the author; the editorial department will issue the invoice after reconciling accounts every Friday.
