Review Process

Journal of Refrigeration is committed to publishing high-quality academic articles, implementing a three-review finalization system, and the review cycle is generally 30 days.

1. Manuscript review process

1) Formal review

The responsible editor is responsible for manuscript form review. The items reviewed are as follows:

Whether the content of the manuscript is in line with the scope of acceptance of the journal.

Whether the copy repetition rate is less than 10%(CNKI plagiarism detection system.

Whether the manuscript submission format meets the Manuscript Format Requirements (2024).

Whether the content of the manuscript involves commercial publicity, whether it involves political issues, whether it involves secrets, whether it has innovative points, whether the basic structure is appropriate, and whether the language expression is clear.

2) First review (double-blind)

The Youth Editorial Committee of the journal is responsible for the rapid initial review of the manuscripts. The review items are as follows:

Whether the innovation level of the manuscript meets the basic admission requirements of the journal.

3) External review (double-blind)

Peer experts are responsible for external audit. The items reviewed are as follows:

Frontier and novelty of the topic

The innovation level of the research content

Correctness of deduction and argumentation

Chart accuracy and necessity

Data authenticity

Structural rigor

4) Final (double-blind)

The final review shall be conducted by the editor-in-chief of the journal. If the following requirements are not met, the final review has the right to reject. The items under review are as follows:

Structure and overall quality of manuscript

The practical significance of the manuscript

2. Dispute resolution procedures

The author has the right to dispute any decision on the article at any stage of review. Disputes will be decided at the discretion of the editorial department of the Journal of Refrigeration or the opinion of the editorial board, and will give a reply to inform the author of the final opinion on whether the article is suitable for publication. Specific steps:

Step 1: The author sends a rebuttal letter to the editor. Clearly explain why you disagree with the editorial board's decision on the article, and should include a detailed response to the reviewer's comments.

Step 2: All appeal requests received by the editor are handled on a case-by-case basis and a final decision is given.

Step 3: The article will be subject to further evaluation by independent reviewers.

Step 4: The editor will inform the author of the final decision on the article.

3. Accepted manuscript

1) The author downloads the acceptance notice in the system.

2) The editorial department shall issue the payment notice to the author in accordance with the relevant Regulations on Publication Fee.

3) The author shall pay the fee in the system according to the amount on the payment notice or remit the money by bank transfer (bank transfer requires the submission of the remittance voucher in the system).

4) The author submits the billing information in the system.

5) The editorial department issues invoices within the system.

6) Authors download invoices in the system.

7) The author submits the Copyright Authorization, and can also apply for CNKI Online First Publishing at the same time (require submission of Online First Digital Publishing Authorization).

8) For online first publication, the editorial department will make preliminary editing and correction of the manuscript and upload it to the website of the journal and CNKI for online first publication.

4. Manuscript correction and withdrawal

When manuscripts that have already been published require corrections and retractions of articles, the journal follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

A correction will be issued if:

● The science and accuracy of the article are questionable

● Part of the article is misleading

● Incorrect author/contributor information (i.e. missing authors or adding authors without actual work).

A withdrawal notice will be issued if:

● There is clear evidence that the conclusions of the article are unreliable or otherwise incorrect

● The article has been published elsewhere without proper and reasonable citations (i.e., cases of duplicate publication)

● The article constitutes academic misconduct such as plagiarism.
