Development of Cryogenic Power Generation Cycles with LNG Cold Energy Utilization
Liquefied natural gas is an increasingly widely used clean energy. Establishing cryogenic power generation cycles using LNG cold energy is an important way of cold energy recovery. In the present paper
the key factors affecting the basic LNG power generation cycles are discussed
including LNG-side parameters
working fluids and equipment inlet and outlet parameters. Cycle structural enhancement is also summarized
including Rankine cycle
Brayton cycle
Kalina cycle and the compound cycles. The practical significance of parametric study and diversity of cycle structural enhancement are indicated. It is also pointed out that further research should be based on the selection and the component matching of organic mixed working fluids
