Effect of Different Parameters on Frosting of Evaporator in Frost-free Refrigerator
The experiment was conducted to investigate the frosting performance of a finned-tube evaporator used in the storage room of a frost-free refrigerator. The frosting process lasted 6-8 hours. The effects of the frontal air velocity
inlet air humidity and refrigerant flux on the performance of the evaporator were examined. The dynamic variations of the refrigerating capacity
air side pressure drop and frost amount on the evaporator in the frosting process were presented. The results show that different condition factors have distinct effect on frosting. In the frosting process
the air pressure drop increases exponentially and the amount of frost increases linearly with time.
