As one of the main application directions of magnetocaloric effect near room temperature
room temperature magnetic heat pump has the characteristics of high efficiency
environmental protection
low noise and low vibration. In this paper
the application potential of cascade magnetic heat pump cycle in room temperature magnetic heat pump with large temperature spans was verified by comparing the theoretical cycle of magnetic heat pump and magnetic refrigeration. The results show that the dual requirements of kilowatt-level heating capacity and large temperature span of about 30K in the actual heating scenario are obstacles to the application of room temperature magnetic heat pump. Based on the difference between the room temperature magnetic heat pump and the existing room temperature magnetic refrigeration prototype in the design and application process
the magnetocaloric material selection strategy and performance evaluation index for the large temperature span room temperature magnetic heat pump were analyzed. The comparative analysis of magnetic heat pump and magnetic refrigeration in this paper also help researchers to clarify the key to the design and application of large temperature-span magnetic heat pump based on the existing research of room temperature magnetic refrigeration
and promote the comprehension and application of room temperature magnetic heat pump cycles
